Use dosage as directed by the product or your veterinarian!
This damage is the result
of improper dosage of a strong antibiotic in the wrong injection site.
The muscle damage and discolored tissue are a result of the irritation
caused by the antibiotic. Product migration resulted in a large area
of damaged tissue.
This large lesion, which caused
a significant amount of muscle damage, is the result of administering
three times the recommended dosage of a broad spectrum antibiotic.
The lesion resulting from this improper dose would eliminate five
sirloin steaks.
This slide shows a blemish
about two inches in length and having the diameter of a golf ball.
This resulted from the administration of the proper dosage of a long
acting antibiotic as a subcutaneous injection given in the neck. The
lesion did not penetrate the muscle too deeply and could be easily
removed at slaughter resulting in a minimal loss to the packer. Much
better!
